Douglas Rochen is a strategic partner responsible for the firm’s catastrophic injury practice group. Over the course of Mr. Rochen’s career, he has successfully represented consumers in the areas of trucking accidents, wrongful death, product liability, sexual abuse, traumatic brain injury, paralysis, catastrophic orthopedic loss, amputation, mass tort disaster, sensory loss, civil rights, premises liability, and pharmaceutical litigation. As one of the firm’s litigation trial lawyers, he prides himself on creating a focused comprehensive solution to his client’s needs and goals without jeopardizing the quality of the work and results while maintaining a commitment to professional and personal excellence.
Prior to joining the plaintiff’s world, he spent almost 10 years on the defense side, acquiring essential skills that make him a powerful litigator on the plaintiff’s side. With his unique background and experience, Mr. Rochen is better able to anticipate defense firm strategy and counter with advance litigation techniques. His instincts have resulted in several large settlements, verdicts and millions in recovery for his clients.
Mr. Rochen has been on the board of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) since 2012, is past president of the Downtown Los Angeles Bar Association (DTLABA), a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the American Association of Justice (AAJ) since 2001, and a fellow with the New Leadership Counsel.
Mr. Rochen was admitted to practice before all California state and District Courts since 2001. He previously served as a mediator for the Los Angeles County Court system and received an award of academic excellence for advanced mediation. Douglas Rochen has been an attorney for 20 years.
